Local organic farmer, Arzeena Hamir, donated $1,000.00 to the Youth and Ecological Restoration Program (YER) in December 2019.

Arzeena, her husband, and two children own and operate Amara Farm, a 26-acre certified organic vegetable and blueberry farm. She is currently Comox Valley Regional District, Area B Director.

Her activism for food security, sustainable agriculture, water protection and community collaboration is well known.
